CO2 fire extinguisher
A CO2 fire extinguisher uses carbon dioxide, which evaporates after use and leaves no residue. That makes it ideal for electronics, server rooms, laboratories and machinery. We sell certified EN 3 extinguishers with a bracket.

Which fires it puts out
fuels, varnishes, solvents, alcohol
server rooms, switchboards, machinery up to 1000 V from at least 1 m
Good to know: CO2 is less effective on solids such as wood or paper, where a powder extinguisher works better. In small enclosed rooms CO2 displaces oxygen, so ventilate after use. Hold the extinguisher by the handle, not the horn, which gets very cold during discharge.
Where to use it
- Server rooms, offices with IT equipment and switchboards.
- Laboratories, museums and premises with precision equipment.
- Stores of flammable liquids, gases and chemicals.
Inspections and service
Under Decree No. 347/2022 Coll., a portable fire extinguisher must be inspected at least every 24 months, but most manufacturers require an inspection every 12 months and then their interval applies. Inspections may only be carried out by a person with a special authorisation. We carry out inspections and pressure tests and keep track of the dates for you.
